A lightweight polyester adventure hat that packs anywhere
The 3500 Adventure Hat is a lightweight, wide brim polyester hat that is water resistant, has 50+ UV protection and folds into the travel bag that comes with it. It’s part of our VE Adventures line, designed in Minnesota, and a free sizing kit is included.
This is the hat to throw in a carry-on and forget about until you need it. The water resistant polyester shrugs off a rain shower, and it doesn’t mind being folded and stuffed into a bag for a week. Pull it out at the trailhead, the campsite or the dock and put it on.
Who is it for? Travelers who want sun protection without a lot of weight. Hikers. Anglers. Parents at all-day soccer tournaments. Anyone who has bought a cheap hat at a gift shop because they forgot theirs at home.
It comes in Brown, a practical color that hides trail dust and goes with nearly any outdoor gear.
Sizing is easy. Measure around your head with a soft tape about a finger’s width above the eyebrows, and check the size chart. If you’re between sizes, choose the larger size and use the free sizing kit to fine-tune the fit. The foam strips go under the sweatband and take seconds to place.

This hat is awesome. If you’re looking for a lightweight full-brim hat in the style of the famous fictional archaeologist, then this is right up your alley. It’s different enough where it’s not his hat, it’s YOUR hat, which is what I’ve been looking for. The material feels nice, lightweight, water resistant, foldable if needed, and has a slightly tattered look to give it a little bit of character. As far as sizing. I’m a 58cm circumference, so I chose the Large size according to their sizing chart which is at 59cm. When the hat arrived, I put it on and it instantly felt like I was swimming in it. Thank goodness it came with the complimentary hat sizers. I put the thicker one in under the sweat band and it fit pretty snug and secure. This hat will look and wear good going out casually, keeping shade in the sun, and whatever other adventures you’ll find yourself in.
