1024 Squashy Oiled

An oiled suede leather outback hat with a worn-in look

The 1024 Squashy Oiled is a foldable outback hat made from premium full-grain Australian cattle leather and handcrafted in Minnesota, USA. The oiled suede finish is designed to look old when it’s new, so there’s no breaking-in period before it looks like a working hat.

Suede is the napped side of the hide. The oil helps it shed water. As you wear it, the leather darkens and picks up the small marks that come with use. That’s how it should age.

It’s the hat to grab for real work outside. Clearing brush, stacking firewood, a muddy morning at the duck blind. It looks better for it. The leather is water resistant and has 50+ UV protection. Black and Brown are the two colors.

Fit

Sizes run from Small to XXLarge on our leather hat chart. Measure your head with a soft tape about a finger’s width above the eyebrows and just above the ears, then find your size. If you’d like to fine-tune the fit, our 7512 Sizing Kit is available separately and has two foam strips that go under the sweatband.
