I bought this Kangaroo Cooler at the beginning of summer this year, and it’s by far the most versatile hat I have ever owned. It’s kept my head cool all summer long, and I’ve received more complements for this hat than any of my other hats combined. This hat is my daily driver.
I first learned of Barmah some years ago from a friend who also wears his daily and I immediately fell in love with how Kangaroo leather feels and its packability and ability to pop back into shape with ease.
I love how the brim sways on windy days, so it won’t fly off your head!
The mesh is tough, and although very stiff at first, it becomes moldable like the rest of the hat.
I only have a couple bad things to say about this hat, and they’re not deal breakers. I don’t like how the hat band is glued on. It hasn’t come off yet, but I can see maybe years down the line this being an issue. Also, the hat itself can get scratched up easily. Keep this in mind if you plan on hiking with this and encounter some low branches. And lastly, this hat is just so tough and near perfect I can’t find a good excuse to buy another one in a different color!
This is a 5/5 hat. Get it.
These Aussie hats are run small. I usually wear a Large or 59/60cm in most hats. I got a XL, and it fits perfectly.
