The 1019 Sundowner Kangaroo is a lightweight outback hat made from premium Australian full-grain kangaroo leather and handcrafted in Minnesota, USA. Its shape is what sets it apart. The brim is the same width all the way around, and the crown sits a little lower than on our 1018 styles, which gives it a tidier, more compact profile.

It suits people who want a leather hat that doesn’t look like a costume in town. Wear it to the farmers market, on a hike or to a ballgame.

Full-grain leather keeps the outer grain layer of the hide, and kangaroo is a thin leather known for being strong for its weight. Together that adds up to a hat you can forget you’re wearing. It’s water resistant and has 50+ UV protection.

Use our guide to measuring your hat size to find your number on the leather chart (Small through XXLarge), then slip the foam strips under the sweatband to fine-tune the fit. Between sizes, pick the larger and add a strip or two from the kit until it sits just right.
